Heavy Duty Driver (VSC) at Sasol

Purpose of Job

• To safely transport either cargo or passengers from one location to another.
• They must follow traffic laws and correctly route themselves, ensuring that there their vehicle is at all times roadworthy and has sufficient fuel.

Key Accountabilities

• The role of the Driver is to clearly execute instructions for the safe delivery and collection of vehicles to service providers for maintenance.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and report defects
• Communication with the workshop and other stakeholders 
• Execute deliveries according to delivery sequence
•  Comply with site, operational, and SHERQ procedures
• Adhere to policies and procedures so that task is done safely and accurately.

Formal Education

• Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) 
• CODE EC (Code 14) drivers Licence
• In possession of a valid professional driver permit (PrDP)
• Load secure training (WISH)

Work experience

• At least 5 years code 14 driving experience
