- Join a leading manufacturer as an experienced Operations Manager, responsible for overseeing full-cycle production, procurement, and quality across both Paint Plants. This role is ideal for an individual with deep technical expertise in paint chemistry, sound leadership abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
- You will manage everything from formulation improvement and ERP-driven inventory to client engagement and plant maintenance. This is a critical leadership role with broad responsibility across safety, quality, operations, and supply chain. Preferred candidates will demonstrate strong leadership, technical problem-solving, and proven operational oversight within a high-compliance manufacturing environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric plus a 3-year post-matric qualification
- 5+ years’ experience in the paint manufacturing industry
- Qualification in or strong understanding of Paint Chemistry
- Proven ability to understand and optimise paint formulations
- Expertise in Decorative and Light Industrial Coatings processing
- Proficient in ERP systems for manufacturing, procurement, and stock management
Technical & Regulatory Skills:
Strong knowledge of:
- Occupational Health & Safety Act
- ISO Quality Management Systems
- National Environmental Management Act
- Local municipal by-laws
