Following requirements to manage the role
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of planners, fostering a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Drive a safety-first culture, ensuring that the planning department consistently achieves its annual health, safety, and environmental targets.
- Plan, prepare, and coordinate major shutdowns and turnarounds, ensuring minimal production loss and full alignment with operational requirements.
- Assume direct responsibility for the preparation of shutdown reports, working in close collaboration with relevant departments.
- Oversee the preparation of Bills of Materials (BoMs) in accordance with OEM manuals, ensuring accurate identification of required materials.
- Act as the primary liaison between the client and Metso, facilitating the identification of Metso spare parts and supporting Metso sales and services activities.
- Monitor daily activities and material requirements, providing guidance and recommendations on inventory management, including review of min/max stock levels when necessary.
- Support clients in the identification of critical spare parts such as valves, agitators, and pumps, ensuring operational readiness.
- Collaborate with and advise the Reliability Department on the development and implementation of new maintenance strategies.
- Identify and pursue improvement opportunities in collaboration with Metso Sales and Production Line representatives.
- Actively participate in daily planning meetings, ensuring the Planning Department is represented and aligned with operational priorities.
- Provide expert advice to the client regarding optimization and increased efficiency in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS – Oracle).
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of MS Project for scheduling, planning, and progress tracking.
- Read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), equipment manuals, piping isometrics, and technical drawings to support effective planning and execution.

- Experience from greenfield and brownfield sites, able to understand CMMS data requirements, capable to manage projects
Technical competence
- At least ten >10 years relevant experience from metallurgical/mineral/processing plant or related industry.
- Solid competence in planning and knowledge of gold processing or similar plants.
- Knowledge of procedures for routine inspection and maintenance and use of plant operating, maintenance, and safety manuals. Able to build preventive maintenance system at site.
- Understanding of Failure Analysis Techniques. Understanding of Maintenance Management techniques and systems, Data collection and systematic analysis
- Detailed understanding of shutdown practices. Good knowledge of procedures for start-up, operating routines, emergencies, routine inspection and maintenance.
- Strong computer skills
- English skills (written and spoken)
