Job Description

  • Cape Union Mart is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our passionate Marketing team. This role will support the Head of Marketing and Senior Brand Leads in delivering innovative campaigns, projects, and initiatives for both the Cape Union Mart and K-Way brands.

Key Responsibilities
Campaigns & Partnerships

  • Plan, brief, and execute retail partner campaigns to drive customer acquisition and retention.
  • Collaborate with partner and supplier coordinators to maximise brand visibility.

Brand & Customer Experience

  • Assist with in-store marketing initiatives (POS, digital screens, music, and radio).
  • Build strong relationships with external media, PR, and creative partners.
  • Conduct competitor research and provide insights on trends.

Project & Process Management

  • Manage and update the marketing calendar weekly.
  • Track campaign timelines, presentations, and SOPs across teams.
  • Coordinate production elements for shoots and PR content days.

Events & PR

  • Assist with planning and execution of events, store openings, and revamps.
  • Support press drops, PR gifting, and internal communications.
  • Compile reports, newsletters, and post-campaign analyses.

Requirements
Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing (Diploma/Degree)

Experience:

  • 1–2 years’ brand marketing experience
  • Retail and shoot production experience (essential)
  • Agency experience (advantageous)
  • Strong project coordination background

Skills:

  • Excellent organisational and administrative ability
  • Computer literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, Word – intermediate level)
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Customer service orientation & negotiation ability
