Minimum Requirements

• A Doctorate degree with an undergraduate qualification in Information Technology, Software Development, or Computer Science.
• At least 5 years lecturing experience University level. *
• Candidates must demonstrate scholarship of teaching and must have produced/ published three research outputs (e.g. accredited book, chapter in a book, accredited creative output, patent, review article, journal article, peer-reviewed conference proceedings, etc.) *
• Successful supervision of at least one postgraduate student at Master’s level

Additional Recommendations:

• Proficiency in a broad range of computer applications.
• Experience utilizing innovative teaching and learning technologies, including online instruction.
• Evidence of collaborative research linkages.
• Demonstrated evidence of a growing research track record.
• Experience in industrial or community engagement projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach ICT courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Supervise research projects for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Provide leadership in curriculum design and programme development within the ICT discipline.
• Conduct high-quality research and publish in accredited academic journals.
• Mentor junior academic staff and contribute to strengthening research capacity in the department.
• Actively participate in industry partnerships, applied projects, and community engagement initiatives.
• Assist with programme coordination and contribute to departmental administration as required.
