Safety:
- Serve as the facility Emergency Response Coordinator
- Attend the Health and Safety Committee meetings
Building Management:
- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day maintenance and support of buildings, grounds and facilities systems
- Maintains a safe and effective working environment that complies with regulations and laws
- Respond to reactive maintenance issues timeously
- Ensure the effective maintenance and management of Barloworld Equipment’s motor vehicle
- Supervise and co-ordinate works with contractors.
- Ensure all suppliers adhere to company policies while on site.
- Submit weekly building inspection reports
- Oversee monthly inspection of portable electrical equipment, kitchen areas, ablution facilities, fire detection/equipment and other (as required)
- Schedule and supervise preventative maintenance and liaise with Landlord where applicable
- Plan, guide and supervise all gardening maintenance and improvements
- Capture monthly water and electricity meter reading
- SLA/KPI management for Soft and Hard services
- Responsible for drafting scope of work for Facilities related RFQ/RFPs as per Procurement procedures
Financial Management:
- Draft maintenance plan with costing
- Analyse quotes received from contractors for cost optimisation
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
- Matric with Facilities Diploma/Degree or relevant Diploma/Degree
- Three to Five years’ experience in Facilities Management would be advantageous
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft office is essential
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good planning and organisational skills
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Sound Business and financial acumen
- Ability to manage employees (supervisory experience)
