Role Overview:
- We’re seeking a dynamic Hilti Store Account Manager to join our Pretoria sales team and contribute to the success of our National Hilti Retail Team. If you’re passionate about sales and customer engagement, this role offers the opportunity to build extensive product knowledge across the full Hilti catalogue and deliver an exceptional retail and customer experience.
- This role is designed to prepare you for possible future responsibilities in external account management, where you will be based onsite and engage directly with customers. You will actively and effectively demonstrate, service, train, and (where appropriate) test Hilti products. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of the market and key stakeholders. You will be expected to gather and report insights on competitors, pricing trends, product launches, seminars, new outlets, quality concerns, and delivery performance through monthly reports.
- This is a “bench role” which exists for the purpose of talent pipeline creation to address our future hiring needs as they become active.
Role Responsibilities:
- You will take the ownership in the assigned territory, at our Pretoria – Silverton Hilti Store(retail)to develop sales by utilizing all elements of our sales process to effectively analyze, implement and control the opportunities within the territory to achieve the assigned targets for defined territory or market segment. As a Hilti Store Account Manager, you’ll look after our retail store, serving local clients ranging from sole traders to large construction projects.
- It’s a busy, hands-on role, where you’ll demonstrate our products, cross-sell our software and services, and advise customers on the most innovative and cost-efficient solutions for their needs. Between serving customers, you’ll carry out day-to-day processes like entering orders, receiving goods, accepting repairs, managing inventories, and developing a customer base through proactive contact and sales.
- You will also build fruitful working relationships with all levels – partners, contractors, system integrators & end users, and actively manage and develop the growth of key products within the sales territory by targeting the appropriate customer groups and ensure successful introduction of new products. You will ensure the appropriate level of coverage is given to both buying and potential customers within the customer platform, to develop profitable growth.

What You Need Is:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma (Sales, Marketing, Business, or industry related) – Is advantageous.
- Knowledge and experience in Construction trades and applications.
- Minimum 2-4 years Sales experience.
- Proven track record in a direct sales /technical sales role.
- Strong CRM understanding, preferably Salesforce.
- Strong operational, process, time management and administrative skills.
- Negotiation, Listening, Communication (English written and verbal) and Presentation Skills.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- An agile approach to solving problems, with a solution-oriented mind-set.
- Strong business acumen, with a team orientated attitude.
