- To maintain mechanical equipment in good order by adhering to maintenance procedures to enable Production Department to meet production targets
- Compilation and updating of equipment registers (safety).
- To ensure that machinery used in the unit is maintained, set correctly and free of safety hazards.
- Input and print job cards and stores requisitions on the planned maintenance system.
- Provide technical support to machine operators.
- Conduct routine maintenance and maintenance inspections.
- Machinery available and utilised to full capacity.
- Planned maintenance executed and improved operational efficiency at all machines assigned to the position.
- To efficiently manage stocks of spares & equipment needed to maintain Plant
- To minimize plant downtime through efficient & effective maintenance
- Applying pro-active preventative maintenance principles
- Complete job cards, log books and inspection reports.
- Assist in conduct hazard analysis and determine control measures for the hazards
- Familiarise yourself and adhere to the maintenance-related food safety program established by the Maintenance Coordinator
- Ensure the usage of only approved food grade lubricants on machinery.
- Adhere to all food safety standards
- Computer literacy and exposure to Computer Maintenance management System preferably DMS.
- Interpersonal relationship skills.
- Call out and standby responsibilities, including overtime work as required.
- Situational problem solving abilities.
