Officer: Emergency Resource at ER24

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

• To receive and prioritize emergency & non – emergency telephone calls from the public by dispatching the relevant emergency service providers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Answer and transfer incoming calls
• Basic contact centre administration

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• Essential: Grade 12
• Desired: BAA/ Level 3 first aid Certification

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Essential: Contact Centre  / Emergency Contact Centre exposure
• Desired: 1 – 3 years dispatching in an EMS contact centre

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Dispatching of vechicles
• Emergency Care
• Typing Skills
• English language (written and verbal)
• Geographical locations
• EMS environment
• Telephonic and email etiquette
