Purpose of the Job

The Granting Clerk acts as the main point of contact between the company and its customers, handling a high volume of inbound and outbound calls. This role focuses on resolving customer complaints, addressing inquiries, and providing high-level customer service. A strong customer focus, excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment are key requirements.


Job Objectives

  • Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls efficiently and professionally

  • Detect and flag potential fraudulent activity through phone interactions

  • Follow communication protocols and scripts for consistency

  • Clarify customer information, research concerns, and provide timely solutions

  • Build strong customer relationships by going the extra mile

  • Accurately document all interactions in the call centre database

  • Meet or exceed performance targets, including call quality and customer satisfaction


Qualifications


Experience and Requirements

  • Previous experience in a customer support or call centre role

  • Proven success in meeting or exceeding performance quotas

  • Strong verbal communication and active listening skills

  • Experience with UCS systems is an advantage (or willingness to learn)

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively

  • Adaptability to work with different personality types and customer needs

  • Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail
