The purpose of the Engineering Development Programme is:

  • To create capacity and ensure proper maintenance and availability of the network through competent employees

  • The programme offers TFR engineering personnel an opportunity to develop a career within the organisation.

Position outputs :

  • It will be compulsory for the candidates (during the 24 month training period) to acquire technical training in their own discipline to prepare them to do their technical job and also to enable them to register.
  • It will also be compulsory for candidates to rotate through the various disciplines to get background in other technical fields, however still focussing on their core discipline.
  • The objective is to have a rounded employee who has an understanding of all the TFR business.

Qualifications & Experience :

Trans-Caledon Tunnel Authority (TCTA) is a state-owned entity, established in terms by the National Government to finance and implement bulk raw water infrastructure.

TCTA was originally established as a special purpose vehicle to fulfil South Africa’s treaty obligations in respect of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project.

Its establishment was in line with Government policy and practice to seek off –balance sheet funding options for infrastructure projects that can recover their costs through the end user tariffs.

The Trans-Caledon Tunneling Authority (TCTA) is offering ten (10) internship opportunities to suitably qualified and deserving youth from previously disadvantaged backgrounds in the fields of study listed below.

The duration of the Internship Programme is 2 years. Successful interns will be entitled to a monthly stipend.
TCTA is a State-owned entity responsible for bulk raw water infrastructure development.

SA Navy Skills Development Opportunity 2018

The SA Navy is offering young South African citizens an excellent opportunity to serve in uniform over a two-year period. The Military Skills Development System (MSDS) is a two-year voluntary service system with the aim of equipping and developing young South Africans with the necessary skills in order to compete in the open market.

Young recruits are required to sign up for a period of two-years, during which they will receive Military Training and further Functional Training.

All applicants must comply with the following:
– South African Citizen (Relinquish any other citizenship).
– Have no record of criminal offences.
– Not be area bound.
– Preferably single.
– Comply with medical fitness requirements for appointments in the SANDF.
