Introduction

The Junior Forensic Investigator contributes to the organisational goals by ensuring adherence to company directives, cost containment and risk mitigation.

Specification

•Evaluate the accuracy and validity of policy sales, amendments and claims.
•Interpret, translate and communicate key findings and recommendations in the agreed format to internal and external stakeholders on investigations completed and
address non-compliance.
•Identify harmful business practices for internal and external stakeholders by tracking and recording key findings during investigations.
•Apply techniques such as Fraud Detection, Syndicate identification, fingerprint analysis, hand writing analysis and voice analysis to identify and prevent fraud.
•Identify and verify the validity of relevant documentation during investigations in the prevention and detection of fraud.
•Research and develop new techniques to identify and prevent fraud.
•Liaise with team members and provide training to new team members and claim staff on fraud detection and prevention techniques.
•Liaise with role players in law enforcement and intelligence agencies and assist with preparing cases for prosecution.
•Liaise with role players in TGS and assist with preparing cases for internal hearings and CCMA
•Identify system and internal control weaknesses and recommend counter measures.
•Ensure that there is a focus on cost saving strategy implementation by implementing recoveries, savings, duplicate payments and fraud.
•Deliver the Telesure Service Way through personal effort and through others.
•Deliver on Treating Customers Fairly principles in alignment with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Level of Education:

Essential:
•Grade 12 (Standard 10) with University Entrance (NQF4)
•Desired: 3 year degree/Diploma in Internal/Forensic Auditing
•Desired: Certified Fraud Examiner Certification

Experience:

Essential:
•3 years Life and funeral insurance experience
