Cellar Assistant x2 Goudini


Applications are invited for the abovementioned position to be based at the Goudini Distillery. This person will report to the Winemaker .

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

  • Offloading of bulk products Dry Wine, Fortified wines, Lees wine, Spirits, M160, Juice)
  • Loading of Fortified Wines
  • Yeast preparation for Submerged Sherry
  • Sample drawing of products
  • Transfer of raw products and blended products
  • Participate in stock take
  • Operating the submerged system
  • Ensure area is clean after work that 5s duties are done on a daily basis
  • Blending of fortified wines
  • Juice and Dry Sherry fortification
  • pH Adjustments on Dry Sherry product
  • Fining additions to blends
  • Final additions to products
  • M131 maceration process
  • E 2 Excellence
  • Ad-hoc duties

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

  • Grade 12
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a general worker in a cellar environment
  • Physically healthy and strong
  • Be able to work under pressure
  • Own reliable transport
  • A valid code 10 driver’s licence and a valid PDP will be an advantage
  • A forklift license will be an advantage
  • Skop 2 will be an advantage
  • Participate in mini-business meetings
  • Contribute to problem – solving activities
